Iranian, Afghan Experts Resolving Border Issues
TEHRAN – An Iranian border police commander said Sunday calm prevails along the common border with Afghanistan following reports of a skirmish between Iranian and Taliban forces, noting that experts from the two sides are going to handle the issue.
Commander of Taybad Border Regiment Colonel Muhammad Cheragh said the problems are related the Taliban’s unfamiliarity with border laws. At the moment, “calm prevails at the joint border between Iran and Afghanistan amid the prospect of peace and friendship”, he added.
