Ramadhan is the month of the Divine Banquet spread out for the faithful by the Almighty Creator for those obeying His commandment to fast, but this does not mean His all-encompassing Mercy does not cover those who do not fast for various valid reasons or those who are not Muslims.
In view of this fact, the Holy Qur’an hails Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) as Mercy to the entire creation in order to instill in all mankind, whatever their class, colour, ethnicity, language, and geographical area, humanitarian values for the sake of peace and stability everywhere.
This means wretched and miserable are those who violate the sanctity of this month, especially by indulging in bestial acts that disturb peace, cause injury to fellow humans, and even take their lives.
The events in Afghanistan, where the frequency of bomb blasts has increased and where the blood of worshippers at mosques is flowing like water are all indicative of the desperate attempts of the frustrated forces of Satan to desecrate the sanctity of Ramadhan.
The terrorists who have no religion indiscriminately kill innocent people whether Sunni or Shi’a Muslims.
The bomb blasts in the mosque in Mazar-e Sharif, on the heels of the Kabul school explosion, and followed by the targeting of Sunni mosque in Kunduz, all show the hidden hands of the CIA and the Zionists emerging from the sleeves of the macabrely murderous Daesh terrorists.
As the Iranian President has said: “Crimes are being committed against Muslims and worshippers at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound (in Palestine), and in mosques in Afghanistan.”
Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi added: “We are demanding the current [Taliban] rulers of Afghanistan to protect the lives of Muslim people, who are getting killed in mosques while fasting, and to prevent rogue elements who viciously target ordinary people and public security.”
This mayhem has got to be stopped, and the only way to do it, is to mobilize the Afghan people into forming popular armed units to safeguard the security of their respective localities.
The Taliban militia which is presently in control of Afghanistan should facilitate the setting up of such popular mobilization units, since it cannot guarantee peace and stability on its own in the country.
Otherwise, chaos will spread and the US-Zionist Daesh network will plunge Afghanistan into civil war and possible fragmentation.
