IME Weekly Trade Tops $734mn
TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 1,949,000 tonnes of commodities with a total value of more than $734 million were trade in domestic and exporting halls, posting growths of 25% in volume and 91% in value of trades compared to the figures of the previous week.
The report said that over 672,000 tonnes of metals and minerals including 911,902 tonnes of cement, 477,382 tonnes of steel, 180,000 tonnes of iron ore, 9,200 tonnes of sponge iron, 7,260 tonnes of copper, 2,975 tonnes of aluminum, 720 tonnes of zinc, 200 tonnes of lead, 150 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate and 14 kg of gold bars with total value of $525 were traded in its trading halls.
it salso added that, over 269,115 tonnes of oil and petrochemical commodities, including 98,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 76,504 tonnes of polymeric products, 38,430 tonnes of bitumen, 32,624 tonnes of chemicals, 19,990 tonnes of lube cut, 2,984 tonnes of base oil, 715 tonnes of sulfur, 200 tonnes of slops wax and 100 tonnes of argon with total value of $201 were traded in its trading halls.
Last but not least was the IME’s side market with 8,449 tonnes of commodities traded on it.
