Terrorism is considered an act of blasphemy according to Islamic laws, but what happened on Tuesday in Mashhad in the holy shrine of Prophet Muhammad’s (SAWA) 8th Infallible Heir, Imam Reza (AS), was blasphemous terrorism.

The mausoleum is a sacred place, the violation of whose sanctity through any immoral and unethical act, is regarded as sacrilege, and if sacrilegious acts such as armed assault or murder were to occur inside its holy precincts, and that too in the fasting month of Ramadhan, it is nothing but an act of cowardly terroristic blasphemy 

The blasphemer, who stabbed three religious scholars, one of whom fatally, was nabbed by pilgrims before he could shed more innocent blood, and has admitted that he belongs to the Daesh takfiri group – a heretical outfit considered by even Sunni Muslims to be outside the pale of Islam. 

Said to be of Uzbek descent he had entered Iran through the porous Pakistani border, most probably from Afghanistan where he and other takfiri terrorists, no longer welcome in their various homelands, was airlifted from Syria by the US as part of the devilish American plot to destabilize the region.

His identity card carries the name Abdul-Latif Muradi – a surname that shocks most believers, especially the followers of the Ahl al-Bayt, since it was in this holy month in 40 AH that the Prophet’s Vicegerent, Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (AS), was struck a fatal sword-blow on his head while engrossed in prayer in the Mosque of Kufa by the Kharijite (renegade from Islam), Ibn Muljam Muradi.

The questions that arise are: What benefits and pleasures do the Americans, the Zionists, and the Wahhabis of Arabia, derive from such dastardly acts of terrorism committed by their agents who neither have any regard for innocent people (of any age including infants) nor for the sanctity of places of pilgrimage and worship, or for that matter for months designated as holy and sacred by God Almighty?

If the almost daily desecration of the al-Aqsa Mosque (Islam’s 3rd holiest site) in the occupied city of Bayt al-Moqaddas by the Zionist occupiers is evident to the whole world, the dilapidated state of the Sacred Baqie Cemetery is also not hidden in Medina, where the heretical Wahhabi terrorists had destroyed in 1926 the tombs of the elders of Islam, including the grand mausoleum that housed the holy graves of four of the 12 Infallible Heir of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) – Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba, Imam Zayn al-Abedin, Imam Muhammad al-Baqer, and Imam Ja’far as-Sadeq (peace upon them).       

The civilized world still recalls with horror the macabrely murderous acts that were committed by the takfiri terrorists in Syria and Iraq, including the razing of Christian churches and Muslim mosques, before these beasts in human form were weeded out by the Syrian and Iraqi people, thanks to the timely help provided by the Islamic Republic of Iran – chiefly through the brilliant strategist, General Qassem Soleimani, whom the super-terrorist US martyred in the most unmanly manner at Baghdad Airport on 2nd January 2020.

Thus, in view of the avowed enmity of Washington and its stooges, the Islamic Republic of Iran ought to be extra cautious and step up security on its frontiers, in particular on the porous east, where on the other side of the borders there is no proper control of the administration of our respective neighbours.
