Turkey Detains at Least 34 Daesh Suspects
ANKARA (Xinhua) – Turkey says it detained on Wednesday at least 34 suspects for suspected links to Daesh terrorist group, state-run TRT broadcaster reported. Turkish police detained six Daesh suspects in the Black Sea province of Samsun in one of the operations, and at least 28 other suspects across 15 cities in another operation in and around northwestern Balikesir Province, said the report. The Turkish government blames the terrorist group for a spate of deadly attacks in Turkey since 2015. In an operation on March 29, Turkish security forces detained four suspects in the central province of Kayseri on information that they had carried out armed activities in Syria and Iraq.
