Zionist Spy Network Dismantled in Northwest Iran
TEHRAN -- Iranian intelligence forces have succeeded in dismantling the biggest spy network affiliated to the Zionist regime in the country’s West Azarbaijan province, IRNA reported on Sunday.
The director-general of intelligence in West Azarbaijan province said the spy network had hired individuals with the aim of carrying out sabotage attacks in the country, “but the vigilant intelligence forces foiled the plot and dismantled the network”.
The spies had been hired by the Zionist regime’s Mossad spy agency merely for financial benefits, the official added.
The Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic of Iran is focused on fighting corruption, oppression and discrimination because security and national interests are of great importance in the Islamic nation, he added.
The provincial official further referred to the role of media in managing the public opinion, saying they are expected to pursue transparency and precision in reporting, in order to prevent misuse by foreigners.
