Envoy: Ukraine Committed to Safety of Iranians
TEHRAN – The Ukrainian ambassador to Tehran on Wednesday reaffirmed his country’s commitment to protecting the lives of Iranian citizens and helping them evacuate from Ukraine amid a Russian military operation.
In talks with the head of the Eurasian First Office of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Sergey Burdilyak elaborated on the difficult situation in his country. He attributed the delay and the inability of a number of Iranian students to leave Ukraine via the Polish border to the crowd of thousands of Ukrainians and foreign nationals at the border.
