5.2-Magnitude Quake Jolts Northeast of Kabul

 
 
KABUL (Xinhua) – An earthquake shook Afghanistan’s capital Kabul and neighboring provinces at 02:28 p.m. local time (0958 GMT) on Wednesday.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake jolted 37 km northeast of Bazarak with a magnitude of 5.2. The epicenter, with a depth of 86.72 km, was initially determined to be at 35.5553 degrees north latitude and 69.7992 degrees east longitude.
