‘Private’ Makes It to Nigeria’s Women Festival
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short flick ‘Private’ has been selected to compete at the first edition of the Women International Film Festival Nigeria (WIFFEN).
Directed by Sara Mokhavat, the short film narrates the story of three high school girls struggling to clear their names from an accusation that stains forever.
Also written by Mokhavat, the cast of the film includes Tara Abtahi, Dorsa Katal, Neda Golrangi, Nadia Norouzzadeh, and the director.
The short film has previously participated in the 57th edition of the Chicago International Film Festival in the U.S.
According to the official website of the WIFFEN, “the goal is to celebrate women in film around the world. The festival was birthed out of the desire to build a community of female filmmakers supporting and empowering one another to grow and thrive in the global film industry”.
The 2022 edition of the event will be held on March 4-5.
