Tehran Int’l Animation Festival Rescheduled

TEHRAN (IFILM) --
Tehran International Animation Festival has been postpones due to Omicron variant outbreak.
A lineup of 36 films by Iranian filmmakers will be screened at the international competition of the festival.
The films have been selected from among more than 1000 submissions by Iranian and foreign filmmakers.
The participating animations are from South Korea, Chile, Poland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Japan, China, France, Austria, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Brazil, and several other countries.
A lineup of 89 short films by foreign filmmakers, including ‘My Generation’ by French director Ludovic Houplain and ‘Good Intentions’ by Anna Mantzaris, will compete at the international section.
The latest edition of the Tehran event was supposed to be held on March 6-10 after a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however it has been postponed again.
The organizers hope that they can rescheduled the event for June 2022.
