AOC: Zionists Detaining Palestinian Children in Cage-Like Prisons
WASHINGTON (Dispatches) – U.S. Democrat representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has accused the Zionist regime of putting Palestinian children in cage-like prisons during a campaign rally for Greg Casar, who is running for Congress in Texas.
At the Democratic Socialists of America event, Ocasio-Cortez compared migrant children at the U.S.-Mexico border to Palestinian children in the West Bank, indicating that they were both in cages.
“Palestine is basically a banned word. It’s censored. We don’t talk about it. No one knows about it… we shouldn’t allow people’s humanity to be censored in the United States of America,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
She also spoke against charges of anti-Semitism that she says are leveled against some of Zionist regime’s biggest critics in the House, such as U.S. Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.
All are members of a progressive group of lawmakers known as “The Squad”, famed for their highly critical stance on the occupying regime. They have previously called to end the many decades of America’s unconditional aid to the occupying regime.
The remarks by Ocasio-Cortez came as U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told members of the Zionist regime’s parliament Wednesday that American support for the Zionist regime remains “ironclad.”
“The U.S. remains ironclad, I keep using that word, in our support of Israel’s security and its regional stability,” Pelosi said with her counterpart, Knesset Speaker Mickey Levy, standing nearby
Pelosi has faced turmoil in her own Democratic caucus over the Zionist regime, including a brief and unsuccessful revolt by progressives against funding for the so-called Iron Dome missile system last fall. The House passed it and Pelosi said she hopes the funding passes the Senate “soon.”
