‘Documents Leaked to Sway Deal’

Settlers Protest to Demand Deal with Palestinians

AL-QUDS (Dispatches) –
Families of Israeli captives demonstrated outside the residence of Zionist prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu in West Al-Quds on Monday to demand a prisoner swap deal with Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza.
“End war. Captive deal immediately,” and “Captives won’t survive another winter” were among the banners waved by protesters.
In a statement, organizers of the protest warned that the captives “won’t survive the freezing cold in the tunnels of Gaza.”
Relatives of Israeli captives and opposition parties have escalated their protests against the cabinet of Netanyahu, whom they accuse of sabotaging efforts to reach a swap deal with Palestinians to release their loved ones.
The Zionist regime estimates that around 101 captives are still being held by Hamas in Gaza, some of whom are believed to have been already killed by indiscriminate Israeli airstrikes across the densely populated enclave.
Mediation efforts have so far failed to achieve a Gaza ceasefire and prisoner swap deal.
Hamas says the conflict will only end when the Zionist regime stops its military campaign in the blockaded enclave, which has killed nearly 43,800 people since October 2023.
Meanwhile, an aide to the Zionist prime minister is suspected of leaking classified documents to a European newspaper to sway public opinion against demonstrations supporting a ceasefire-for-captives deal with Hamas.
The Magistrate’s Court in the Israeli city of Rishon LeZion eased a gag order on Sunday, revealing new details about the case, which has triggered a political scandal and sent shockwaves through the Israeli political sphere.
Eli Feldstein, a media advisor to Netanyahu, has been arrested and interrogated by the Shin Bet domestic spy agency. Three additional security personnel, whose names remain undisclosed, have also been detained in connection with the case.
Feldstein’s detention was extended by five days on Sunday, and he is expected to face charges next week, according to the court. The documents allegedly came into Feldstein’s possession via a Zionist army reserve officer, who is also a suspect in the investigation.
According to the court, Feldstein allegedly leaked the classified materials to portray Yahya Sinwar, the martyred Hamas leader, as unwilling to agree to a ceasefire deal that would also secure captive release.
