IME Weekly Trade Tops $640mn
TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 2,865,574 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than $642 million were traded on its physical market in the last week.
The IME’s report added that, on its metal and mineral trading floor, over 1,277,040 tonnes of cement, 600,000 tonnes of iron ore, 383,992 tonnes of steel, 158,600 tonnes of sponge iron, 8,890 tonnes of copper, 7,300 tonnes of aluminum, 875 tonnes of zinc, 500 tonnes of cast iron and 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate with total value of $440 million were traded in the last week.
Based on this report, the exchange saw trade of 400 kg of saffron on its agricultural trading floor.
Furthermore, the IME said on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor, over 420,051 tonnes of commodities including, 158,301 tonnes of bitumen, 97,028 tonnes of polymeric products, 73,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 39,702 tonnes of chemicals, 27,000 tonnes of lube cut, 21,200 tonnes of sulfur, 3,967 tonnes of base oil, 500 tonnes of petroleum products, 230 tonnes of feedstocks and 200 tonnes of insulation with total value of $194 million were traded.
