Official: 8,321 Cyberattacks Thwarted Last Year
TEHRAN – The CEO of Iran’s Telecommunication Infrastructure Company (TIC) says the country foiled more than 8,000 cyberattacks in the previous Iranian year, which ended on March 20.
As many as 8,321 important cyberattacks against the country’s infrastructure network were repelled in the year 1401, Amir Muhammadzadeh-Lajevardi said. In January, he said TIC experts had foiled a wave of cyberattacks targeting the Central Bank of Iran and domestic messaging applications Rubika and Bale.
