Official: Non-Oil Exports From Bushehr Doubled
TEHRAN – The head of the
Industry, Mine, and Trade office in Bushehr province Mehdi Safavi has said that the non-oil exports from the province have doubled in the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-June 21), as compared to the same period of time in the past year.
Safavi said that during the first quarter of this year, four billion dollars of commodities were exported abroad from the province.
He went on to say that Bushehr province has ranked first in the country in this regard.
Non-oil exports from Bushehr are planned to hit $11 billion this year, he speculated when he revealed the prospect of the non-oil exports from the province.
$358mn of goods Exported to Iraq via Mehran Crossing
Director-General of Customs Administration of the western province of Ilam Ruhollah Gholami has said that 358 million dollars of commodities have been exported to Iraq from the Mehran International Border in the current Iranian year.
Gholami said that 886,000 tons of goods were exported to Iraq through this border in the first quarter of this year.
This amount has increased by 100% in terms of weight and 73% in dollar value compared to the same period last year, he added.
He underlined that Ilam province customs has won first place this year out of 12 customs bordering Iraq.
The Mehran International Border has generated jobs for over 2,000 Iranians working currently in the place, he pointed out.
