PGCC’s Policy of Iranophobia to Please the Zionist Entity

A ritual gathering of certain rootless and unrepresentative rulers is without the least doubt devoid of any significance for the international community, and the only reason the western media attaches importance to it is because the potentates are not just filthy rich with hundreds of billions of petrodollars which they recycle back to the US and Europe for purchase of obsolete weapons and overpriced luxury items, but also act as mouthpieces of the illegal Zionist entity, especially against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
On Tuesday, one such gathering of six Persian Gulf Arab regimes was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and as expected issued the same stereotyped Iranophobia communique of the past forty years.
The body that was formed in 1981 by the US and Britain by mustering together Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman, during the peak of the invasion of Iran by Saddam of the repressive Ba’th minority regime of Baghdad, has always adopted positions against Islamic unity and the aspirations of the people of the region.
It ritually lays claim to three of Iran’s Persian Gulf islands – Bu Musa, Greater Tunb and Lesser Tunb – accuses the Islamic Republic of exporting the Islamic Revolution to Arab states, and supports every unjust measure taken by the West against Tehran.
So, it was no surprise when the 42nd such social get-together of six Persian Gulf regimes – collectively called the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) –issued a communique the day before yesterday repeating its long-held Iranophobic claims concerning the Islamic Republic’s civilian nuclear energy programme, the defensive missile project to deter any aggression, and support for the elected governments and popular grassroots movements in the neighbourhood against terrorism and US-Zionist hegemony.
The PGCC, whose claim of the past years of support for the Palestinian people, was never taken seriously, either by its friends in the US and Europe or by the foes it has created in the region, has distanced itself from Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other grassroots movements for liberation of Palestine and Islam’s third holiest site, the al-Aqsa Mosque.
The body that never supported the oppressed Iraqi people, either during Saddam’s reign of terror or during the American occupation, funded and backed terrorists of various hue and colour for destabilizing Syria, and vilifies the Yemeni people for resisting the Saudi-UAE invasion of their homeland, is now baring its fangs at Lebanon’s legendary anti-terrorist movement, the Hezbollah, by calling it ‘terrorist’ – a label it also uses for Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) for their decisive defeating of the macabrely murderous takfiris.
Imagine, the active promoters of terrorism in the Muslim World through the outflow of billions of petrodollars and the slavish supporters of the world’s two topmost terrorist regimes, the US and Israel, calling defenders of their homeland as ‘terrorists’.
So who takes the clannish, cultish, and clownish PGCC seriously, when the organizer of the latest summit MBS (Mohamed bin Salman) who for the past 400-plus days has kept his father King Salman under ‘palace arrest’ in a remote desert town, violates every humanitarian principle, from the brutal murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi to promoting all sorts of vices in society that Islam prohibits.
In short, although the PGCC has not yet formally endorsed Israel as an accomplice in its thralldom to the US, and for the moment only two of its members – the UAE and Bahrain – are openly dining, wining, and dancing with Israel (the avowed enemy of Arabs and all Muslims), Iran, in accordance with its Islamic principles will never withhold support for the aspirations of the regional people, and still hopes the erring parties would come to their senses in the interest of the Ummah and good-neighbourliness.
