Social Drama ‘Dabur’ Makes It to Indian Festival

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short flick ‘Dabur’ has been selected to compete at the 9th edition of the Smita Patil International Film Festival Documentaries & Shorts in India.
Made by Iranian director Saeed Nejati and produced by Nejat Film and a Turkish production company, the short fiction is co-written by the director and Fatemeh Ashari.
The social film is about the relation between a father and his teenage girl.
The cast list of the film includes Majid Potki, Mehrisadat Aleaqa and Feran Hassaninia.
‘Dabur’ has previously taken part in several international festivals, including the Dhaka International Film Festival in Bangladesh and the Tehran International Short Film Festival in Iran.
Started in 2012, the Smita Patil aims to screen films from around the world and to promote underrepresented filmmakers.
The 2021 edition of the event will be held on December 18 and 19.
