Recently, the king of Jordan made some wild remarks against Iran, alleging that his country was attacked with drones of “Iranian
signature” a year ago.
Weird indeed is the accusation of Abdullah II, when neither the Jordanian press nor the international media have ever claimed such an incident, not even any stray missile fired by Lebanon’s legendry anti-terror movement, the Hezbollah, missing its target in Israel and accidentally landing in Jordan.
Then what made the US protégé and half British king, whose
mother is English, indulge in such nonsensical remarks in spite of the fact he claims to be a Seyyed or a direct descendant of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA)?
It is his fear of genuine Muhammadan Islam and the spread of the message of the Prophet’s Ahl al-Bayt and the Jordanian people
resenting Abdullah’s close ties with the illegitimate Zionist entity.
Created by the British exactly a century ago –simultaneous with London’s total subjugation of Iran by appointing an unlettered
soldier of obscure parentage called Reza Khan as prime minister of the declining Qajar Dynasty– Jordan could be called a relatively new country in the ancient land of West Asia, although it is older to Saudi Arabia by 11 years and to Israel by 27 years.
Thanks to the Islamic Revolution which threw into the dustbin of history the upstart Pahlavis and the hegemony of their American and British masters, Iran is not just a sovereign independent state in
every sense of this term, but serves as a model of emulation for all the people of the region, including Jordanians, aspiring to establish the monolithic Ummah on the basis of the teachings of the holy Qur’an and reverence for the Prophet’s Ahl al-Bayt.
Perhaps these facts irk Abdullah and his ilk that the day may not be far when the Jordanian Muslims will welcome their Iranian brethren with open arms, especially since the shrine of Martyr Ja’far at-Tayyar – cousin of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) and elder brother of Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (AS) is in al-Karak near Amman.
If he is the real representative of the Jordanian people he needs not be afraid, because religious tourism from not just Iran, but also from Iraq, Lebanon, the Caucasus Republic of Azerbaijan, the Persian Gulf states, and the Indo-Pakistan Subcontinent, will be definitely an economic windfall for his country.
Of course, the Islamic Republic of Iran, as in the case of the holy shrines of the Prophet’s Ahl al-Bayt in Iraq and Syria, will be leading the efforts to refurbish the mausoleums of the martyrs, along with setting up of hotels, bazaars, schools, medical centres, and water and electricity plants for the facility of all visitors.
Insha Allah (God Willing) when such a development occurs – a nightmare for the US, Britain, and Israel – the Jordanian people will surely become more intellectually, culturally, and politically
active and will demand the return of Islam’s former qibla, the al-Aqsa Mosque in Bayt al-Moqaddas, to Jordanian control, as was the
situation before the 1967 War and the occupation of this Islamic city and the West Bank of River Jordan by the Zionists.
We hope Abdullah II will overcome his unfounded fears, and in view of his lineal descent from the Prophet of Islam, will look towards Iran and Iraq, with renewed emphasis on supporting the Islamic
Resistance in Palestine, for the cherished goal of liberating all Zionist usurped parts of the Levant.
The end of Israel will without the least doubt positively influence Hijaz, the Land of Divine Revelation, including reconstruction of the shrines of the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt in Medina to whom the
Jordanian king’s ancestors used to show profound reverence for
centuries, until the Wahhabi occupiers drove them into exile in 1925.
