TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Several filmmaking companies and film events have been set to represent Iran at the European Film Market (EFM) to be held on the sideline of the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) in Germany.
The released list of the companies and foundations to attend the event includes the Documentary and Experimental Film Center, Eli Image Film Company, the Fajr International Film Festival, Farabi Cinema Foundation, Honar Aval Film Company, 7th Art Independent Film Distribution Company, ifilm Pro, Cinema of art and Experience, Art and Experience of Iranian Cinema Institute, IRIB Media Marketing, Air Image Film Company, and Persia Film Distribution Company.
This year’s edition of the Berlinale will be a hybrid event of both online (due to the pandemic) and in place showcases.
The online version, slated to host events like the EFM, will take place on March 1-5, 2021.
Besides, the Berlinale Summer Special will be held in place on June 9-20, during which the festival audiences can attend screenings and the award ceremony.
‘Any Day Now’ starring Shahab Hosseini, ‘A Ballad for the White Cow’ by Behtash Sanaeeha, and ‘District Terminal’ by Bardia Yadegari are some of the Iranian titles to be screened at the German event.
