TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Ranking diplomats from Iran and Russia met in Tehran Wednesday for talks on the latest developments in Syria. The Russian president’s special envoy for Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev, who is heading a high-ranking political and military delegation in a visit to Tehran, held a meeting with Ali Asghar Khaji, a senior assistant to Iran’s foreign minister on special political affairs. They discussed the latest developments in Syria, including the political process, Constitutional Committee, situation in Idlib and initiatives developed by Iran and Russia to improve Syria’s economic and humanitarian situation.
