Iran’s Mixed Team Recurve Open Gains Gold
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Mixed Team Recurve Open has claimed a gold medal at the third edition of the Asian Para Games.
The Iranian team, consisting of Zahra Nemati and Gholamreza Rahimi, defeated Japan (Chika Shigesada and Tomohiro Ueyama) 6-0 in the final on Thursday and won a gold medal.
Iran’s Hadi Nouri and Razieh Shirmohammadi also claimed a silver medal at the Mixed Team Compound Open - W2/ST.
About 3,000 athletes with disabilities from a record 43 countries and territories are taking part in the games that opened in the Indonesian capital on Saturday.
The Asian Para Games will run through October 13.
