Official: Nearly 200 Giant Projects to Come On Stream by 2021
TEHRAN (Dispatches) - Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Saeed Zarandi has said that some 200 huge national development projects will become operational by 2021 in Iran, adding that these projects will generate some 41,000 jobs.
Zarandi said that these large industrial, mineral and commercial projects will become operational by 2021 within the framework of weekly campaign entitled "continuous production, effective employment and sustainable exports”.
Putting these development projects into operation will produce around 41,000 job opportunities directly, he added.
These 200 projects would become operational in line with completing value chain, decreasing imports, improving exports and export activities as well as reduction of deprivation in different provinces, the official highlighted.
Presently, Iran has 12,500 development projects with over 60% physical progress, 6,000 of which are considered as ‘driving and prioritized ones’.
