‘The Souvenir' Tops Nominee List at Walthamstow Festival
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- The 10th edition of the Walthamstow International Film Festival has announced 2019 nominees with Iran short film being in the top list.
‘The Souvenir’ by Bakhtiar Khalili succeeded to stand as the runner-up in Best Short Film category of the British film event.
‘The Souvenir’ displays a window into rural life in the Iranian province of Kordestan.
The judges admired the film’s strong message commenting, "High commendations to the film from Iran with beautiful shots and performances from the lead actors.”
Ten years of screening emerging talent short films, Walthamstow Int’l Film Festival 2019 promotes a love of film through screenings, workshops and community and school participation.
The latest edition of the screening event is to be held on June 15-16, 2019 in London.
