‘The Chair’ to Compete at India's Chennai Film Festival

TEHRAN (FNA)-- "The Chair”, an animation film directed by Iranian veteran cartoon maker Mohammad Feizabadi, has made it to the competition round at the Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF) in India.
Feizabadi’s "The Chair” narrates the story of two men fighting to seize a chair.
The satiric approach of the work is addressing a social problem that people are not content with what they have and are ambitious to have what belongs to others.
The production of the animated piece took almost 10 months and it was completed in August 2018.
The Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF) is held Chennai, India to provide a common platform for the film fraternity to show its expression through films; understanding other cultures and project the excellence of this art form; contribute to the understanding and appreciation of film cultures of the different nations in the context of the social and cultural ethos; and promote friendship and co-operation among peoples of the world. The festival has been organized since 2003.
Iranian cinema has made great progress in the years after the victory of the Islamic Revolution of 1979, to that extent that many Iranian films bring home numerous international awards every year and Iranian directors and their films are well known in all cultural venues across the globe.
