TEHRAN (Dispatches) -- Senior advisor to the Iranian parliament speaker Hussein Amir-Abdollahian and Qatari Ambassador to Tehran Ali bin Hamad Al Sulaiti on Thursday underlined the need to broaden bilateral relations in different fields.
The two officials met here to explore avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating mutual cooperation, especially in the parliamentary field, Fars news agency reported.
Amir-Abdollahian pointed to the significance that Iran attaches to relations with Qatar, while the Qatari ambassador underlined the positive role Tehran can play in establishing peace, security and stability in the region, as well as in fighting terrorism.
Sulaiti said boosting relations between Tehran and Doha is of great importance to both countries.
