Iran, Russia Sign MoU on Rescue, Relief Cooperation

TEHRAN (FNA) - Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) and the Russian Red Cross Society signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to further broaden their mutual cooperation in rescue and relief operations.
The MoU was signed in a meeting between IRCS Chief Mohammad Farhadi and President of the Russian Red Cross Society Raisa Lukuttsov in Tehran.
"I hope Iran and Russia will increase their interactions after signing this MoU," Farhadi said during the meeting.
He pointed to the areas of cooperation between IRCS and the Russian Red Cross Society as exchange of experiences in advanced technologies and international cooperation, and said, "Given the IRCS's active presence in Africa, Latin America, Asia, Central Asia and the Middle East, we have declared our readiness to Russia to have cooperation in these areas."
In the past years, Iran and Russia have had vast cooperation in different fields, especially in political and economic spheres.
