Iran to Attend Int’l Budapest Book Fair

TEHRAN (IRNA) – Iran Cultural Fairs Institution announced on Wednesday that Iran will attend the 24th Budapest International Book Festival 20–23 April.
Iran will have 250 books on Iranology, arts, poetry, language learning, and children.

Iran will also invite publishers to the 30th Tehran International Book Fair (3 – 13 May) during the Budapest fair.

24th Budapest International Book Festival hosts about 100 authors from 25 countries.

The Book Festival is also a professional and business forum, where trade meetings, conferences and lectures are held on the key issues of the book market and of reading habits.

Award ceremony of Budapest Grand Prize and the on-stage conversation with the prize-winner will be a special event of the upcoming Book Festival. The Prize has been granted during this annual fair since 1995. In 2017, Orhan Pamuk, the Turkish author, will receive the award.
