Iran’s Quranic Week Underway in Uganda

KAMPALA (IQNA) - The Iranian Cultural Center in Uganda has been holding a Quranic Week in the African country since July 20.
 

The Quranic week will continue for one week.

It will include programs performed by an Iranian Tawasheeh (religious songs) group called "Taha”.

On the first day of the week, the group performed their programs at Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) Mosque in Jinja and Imam Hussein (AS) Institute of Bugiri regions.

Kinara School of Sunni Muslims in Kampala hosted the group and Iranian Quran reciter and memorizer on the second day of the week.

The Quranic programs will be held in other schools and mosques and will be covered by Kampala TV channel.

Headed by Hussein Ghorbani, the group has been dispatched to Uganda by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
