Brazil, Iran to Broaden Agricultural Cooperation

TEHRAN - Chairman of the Iranian Parliament Agricultural Commission Muhammad Javad Askari said on Wednesday that Iran and Brazil are resolved to expand their cooperation in the field of agriculture.
“Suitable ways will be paved for two countries to expand trade, specially in agricultural field, after the visit b Brazilian agriculture minister to Iran,” he said.
Askari pointed out that the Brazilian agriculture minister will pay a visit to Iran on February 17-19, 2022 with the aim of strengthening mutual cooperation in the field of agriculture.
Increasing Iran’s balance of trade with Brazil aimed at prosperity and booming economy has been cited as one of the main objectives behind the visit of the Brazilian minister of agriculture to Tehran.
In mid-September, high-ranking Iranian and Brazilian officials in a meeting in Brasilia discussed ways to further boost cooperation between the two countries, specially in trade and economy.
Iranian Ambassador to Brasilia Hussein Qaribi and Chairwoman of Brazil’s Senate Foreign Relations and Defense Committee (CRE) Katia Abreu held talks on ways to promote trade exchanges.
The two sides also reviewed the latest situation of bilateral relations.
