Iran Starts Operational Phase of Tens of Major Industrial Projects

TEHRAN - Iran kicked off the operational phase of 48 major industrial projects across the country in a ceremony participated by President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi on Sunday.
During the ceremony in Tehran, the operational phase of 48 projects kicked off in 13 provinces and 27 towns.
Gol Gohar Mining and Industrial Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company, Mining and Steel Development Investment Company and Parsian Oil and Gas Development Company will make the necessary investments of these projects.
These projects will bring about $11bn annual exports and produce 54mn tons of mineral, metal, and oil refinery products worth $20bn.
They will also create 24,000 direct and 64,000 indirect jobs.
Iran had also in July inaugurated several infrastructural oil projects.
The projects were opened in the South, Northwest, West, and Center of Iran.
The projects include water supply, water treatment plants, dam and power projects in the provinces of Mazandaran, Hormuzgan, Sistan-Balouchestan, Ardebil, and Fars.
Meantime, in July, several national roads and urban development projects in Iran were inaugurated.
A project was inaugurated, including 321 km of main roads and highways, together with 16 port projects and a number of road improvement projects and flood reconstruction at the time.
Following recent remarks by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei about the need for a strategic road map to development of Iran’s industries, Raisi assigned his vice president last week to form a task force to formulate the road map.
The president has ordered plans to launch a movement and form a working group consisting of specialists and experts in this field in the government, scientific societies, scholars and entrepreneurs to make attempts to implement the instructions of Ayatollah Khamenei.
