TEHRAN -- President Ebrahim Raisi on Saturday congratulated his Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella on being elected for a second term, hoping for the development of ties between Tehran and Rome. In a message, Raisi warmly congratulated the Italian president on his reelection. Highlighting the friendly ties between Iran and Italy and pointing to the history of their political, economic and cultural relations, President Raisi expressed hope that the two nations would promote the bilateral, regional and international cooperation with joint efforts and on the basis of mutual respect.
