Over Million Titles Sold at Tehran Virtual Book Fair

TEHRAN (Honaronline) - The Second Tehran Virtual Book Fair wrapped up on Tuesday with the sale of 1,331,000 book titles, announced Iran’s Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaeili.
The minister posted the news on his Twitter, adding that the book fair earned $3.27 million from book sales.
During the second edition of the virtual book fair, people in 2,975 rural areas and 1,265 urban areas purchased books online.
Last year, the exhibition hosted 15,000 book titles.
The book fair opened on January 23 and was supposed to finish on January 30 but was extended until January 31.
During the visit of Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili on January 29, he announced the one-day extension of this great cultural event until January 31.
Publishers from Spain, Italy, India, Sweden, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Bahrain presented their products at the fair.
