Iran Warns UAE Over Zionists’ Sedition in Persian Gulf
TEHRAN – Iran on Monday warned the United Arab Emirates against contributing to crises caused by the occupying regime of Israel in the name of normalization after the Israeli president visited Abu Dhabi.
In comments at a press conference, Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh deplored Arab states’ normalization of ties with the Zionist regime.
He said the countries helping the Zionist regime create crises in the region through normalization of ties would be the first victims of Israel’s aggressive nature.
“Iran condemns measures taken for normalization of ties with Israel and advises the countries to hear the voice of their vigilant nations and stop creating division in the Islamic and Arab world,” Khatibzadeh added.
Creating crisis is inherent in the nature of the Zionist regime, he said, adding Israel’s survival is tied to crisis, terror, violence and bloodshed.
The spokesman described Israel as the only apartheid regime in the world, saying the regime seeks to impose a racist minority’s hegemony across the occupied Palestinian territories through systematic cruel deeds to which they subject the main residents of Palestine.
On Sunday morning, Israeli president Isaac Herzog arrived in the UAE on the first such visit, more than a year after Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv signed a U.S.-brokered normalization agreement that infuriated Palestinians.
Palestinians have condemned normalization agreements as a stab in their back.
