IME Weekly Trade Exceeds $480 Million

TEHRAN – The Iran
Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that around 1,571,000 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of $ 480 million USD were traded in its domestic trading and exports halls in the past working week.
According to a report by the IME’s International Affairs and PR, the exchange traded on its metals and minerals trading floor 1,311,000 tonnes of commodities valued at more than 282 million USD.
The IME said that 1,311,000 tonnes of metal and mineral products, including 746,056 tonnes of cement, 234,252 tonnes of steel, 175,000 tonnes of iron ore, 112,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 35,420 tonnes of zinc ingots, 5,480 tonnes of copper, 4,900 tonnes of aluminum, 350 tonnes of lead ingots, 150 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate and 22 kg of gold bars with total value of $282 million were traded in the IME domestic and exports halls in the last week.
The report also added that over 250,215 tonnes of various oil and petrochemical products, 84,382 tonnes of polymeric products, 53,754 tonnes of bitumen, 48,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 37,000 tonnes of lube cut, 22,297 tonnes of chemicals, 350 tonnes of sulfur, 2,352 tonnes of base oil, 500 tonnes of slops wax and 150 tonnes of argon with total value of $186 million were traded in the IME halls.
Last but not least was the IME’s side market with 10,873 tonnes of commodities traded on it.
