Iranian Lady Shines at Japan’s Paralym Art World Cup
TEHRAN (Dispatches) -- Artists from 40 countries including Iran, participated at Japan’s Paralym Art World Cup 2021 held in Tokyo.
Marzieh Hooshmand from Iran’s Garmsar was selected as the first person with the work ‘World Smile’ and received a cash prize.
The ceremony was attended by Iran’s cultural attache in Japan, a member of the Japanese parliament, the mayor of Nakama in Fukuoka, a group of artists and representatives of participating countries.
The Paralym Art World Cup is an international competition for artists with disabilities to shine. Each year, it has a different theme and welcomes entries from all over the world.
In 2020, Mehrnaz Bahrami, a disabled Iranian woman, was selected as the second person by presenting a work entitled “Peace Within” and received a cash prize of 50,000 yen.
