UK Professor Unveils Book of Leader’s Letters
LONDON (Press TV) -- On behalf of the youth concerning justice for the world, a new paradigm response to the Leader’s letters to the youth in Western Countries is the title of a 90-page book authored by retired British Binary Economics Professor, Rodney Shakespeare.
The book, to be translated into multiple languages, picks up on two open letters penned by Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in the wake of a rise in terrorist attacks in 2015, among them the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris, which fueled Islamophobia in the West.
In those letters, circulated widely online, Ayatollah Khamenei urged western youth not to believe prejudiced portrayals of Islam by western mainstream media or people in power, but to keep an open mind and judge the Muslim faith fairly:
More than anything, Professor Shakespeare’s book is an economist’s view on some of the biggest issues facing humanity from the vices of capitalism to climate injustice, and whether Islam is the answer. The final chapter envisages the makeup of a true Islamic economy.
In a world where economic and other injustices are on the rise, professor Shakespeare argues, a true Islamic economy is a true democracy in that economic as well as political power is widely spread. He says the world needs a new paradigm. And it’s exactly that paradigm shift, he proclaims, that terrifies the West.
