President Raisi: Resistance Has the Upper Hand
TEHRAN – President Ebrahim Raisi on Thursday highlighted the “upper hand” that the axis of resistance and Hezbollah forces have gained in the region, saying the U.S., whose power is on the wane.
“Today, the Americans are weaker than ever. In the region, Hezbollah forces and other resistance combatants, including the Palestinians, have the upper hand and the initiative,” he said in a meeting with the families of Iranian martyrs in Qom.
The president paid tribute to General Qassem Soleimani
and other martyrs for devoting their lives for the security of the region, saying the enemy has not backed off and has transferred Daesh terrorists from Syria to Afghanistan.
The Americans created Daesh to destabilize the entire region, with Afghanistan being the living example where the group poses a great threat to the country after the withdrawal of U.S. forces, he said.
What guaranteed security in the region was the fortitude that the young, Muslim and firm believers displayed in the face of Daesh, he added.
Raisi warned about attempts to disrupt peace and security in Afghanistan, saying attacks on mosques and massacre of Muslims have all the hallmarks of acts by the Zionists.
