Points to Ponder on Christmas

“Indeed the case of Jesus with Allah is like the case of Adam. He created him from dust then said to him, ‘Be,’ and he was.” (Holy Qur’an 3:59)
Greetings to our Christian readers and a merry Christmas to all of them on the occasion of December 25 with the earnest hope that the followers of Jesus (peace upon him) by adhering firmly to his message of peace, will strive to make the world a better place to live in.
We Muslims regard the Virgin-born Messiah as one of the greatest Prophets of God, as is evident by several passages in the Holy Qur’an which contains a Surah (chapter) titled “Maryam” in honour of his chaste and virtuous mother, Saint Mary (peace upon her).
Doesn’t this shared reverence for Jesus warrant closer ties, coordination of views, and cooperation between Christians and Muslims?
The answer is obvious for any unbiased and rational person, fair enough to avoid unwarranted tension and work towards promotion of the basic teachings of Jesus in society, as found in both the Qur’an and the Gospels, in view of the fact that no true Muslim or Christian will ever try to sully the exalted status of the Messiah, let alone blaspheme him and his virtuous mother.
Then how come the West, or more properly its leaders, allow the unhealthy climate of Islamophobia to take grip of their societies by attacking values held dear by Muslims, such as “Hijab” or the compulsory headscarf and modest clothing prescribed for women in order to safeguard their honour and dignity in public?
Don’t they know that Mary used such form of clothing as did the other virtuous ladies of her monotheistic society, in contrast to the provocative dresses worn by the pagan Roman women, most of whom led a licentious life?
Didn’t respectable Christian women throughout history cover their heads with scarves or wore wimples, similar to what nuns in convents continue to do till this day?
So, what factors have caused such deep divisions and distrust between Muslims and Christians, to the extent that Christian powers which emerged triumphant after World War 1 a century ago, instead of joining hands with Muslims for protection of their commonalities, such as in the holy city of Bayt al-Moqaddas (Jerusalem), planted in Palestine – the homeland of Jesus – an artificial entity for east European Khazar converts to Judaism, despite the fact that Zionism and the Zionists, do not have any belief in Jesus and Mary and moreover slander these holy personages in the most insulting manner!
It is surprising that the Vatican and other Churches seemed to have tacitly condoned this sacrilege against the fundamentals of Christianity, thereby allowing ignorant, unprincipled and immoral politicians, declare Jerusalem as capital of a spurious entity governed by the avowed enemies of Jesus and Mary.
Such un-Christian policies of western powers have indeed saddened the souls of Jesus and Mary (peace upon them), who feel betrayed by a series of supposedly Christian statesmen beginning from Arthur Balfour to Donald Trump, who could very well be called modern day Judas Iscariots.
These turncoats have without the least doubt violated the letter and spirit of Christian belief, and in doing so, have plunged the world into chaos, wars, and bloodshed.
It is now almost 70 years that the holy places associated with the inspirational teachings of Jesus have come under the Herod-like repression of the Israelis, which means the commandments of God Almighty for the benefits of mankind are being trampled upon to the delight of the devil.
The world is waiting for the advent of the Redeemer of humanity to deliver it from the jaws of the Zionists - the heirs of Judas Iscariot. Both the Christians and the Muslims believe in the reappearance of Jesus, an article of faith that is anathema to the Israelis, who as per their satanic nature are plotting the Armageddon.
Under these circumstances in order to make Christmas a real merry event, Christians and Muslims should join hands in the practical arena, similar to the recent UN General Assembly vote against Trump’s decision, for the eventual liberation of not just Jerusalem but all of Palestine.
In conclusion, we again heartily greet our Christian readers and present them what the holy Qur’an has said in ayahs 34 and 35 of Surah Maryam about the Messiah:
“That is Jesus, son of Mary, the Word of the Truth, concerning whom they are in doubt. It is not for God to take a son. Immaculate is He! When He decides on a matter, He just says to it, “Be” and “it is”.
