Tensions Simmering as Zionist Troops Nab More Palestinians

AL-QUDS (Dispatches) –
Zionist troops said Sunday they arrested four more Palestinian men over a recent shooting attack that killed a settler and injured two others in a West Bank settlement outpost.
The occupying regime claimed that the captives were suspected of firing a hail of at least ten bullets that killed a Zionist man and injured two fellow students as they drove out of Homesh, an illegal outpost in the northern West Bank, on Thursday evening.
The army said the suspects were caught in the village of Silat al-Harithiyah, in the Jenin governorate in the northern West Bank. They were handed over to the regime’s Shin Bet spy agency for interrogation.
Multiple Palestinian groups have praised retaliatory attacks against Zionists, though none claimed responsibility.
The Gaza-based Hamas resistance movement said the attack proves that Palestinians are continuing the struggle to liberate their land.
Palestinians are outraged by rising settler attacks on their villages, with backing from Zionist troops.
Israeli rights group B’Tselem has documented hundreds of such attacks this year alone.
The arrests follow a tense weekend. On Saturday, Zionist troops said they arrested a 65-year-old Palestinian woman in Al-Khalil after she allegedly stabbed a Zionist settler, injuring him.
On Friday, settlers raided the northern West Bank village of Burqah, near the site of the fatal ambush. An AFP reporter observed Zionist assailants hurling stones through the windows of homes and firing weapons.
Further south in the village of Qaryout, a Palestinian man was hospitalized after settlers assaulted him at home, Palestinian official news agency Wafa reported.
