IME Weekly Trade Tops $543 Million
TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that around 2,076,000 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than $543 million traded in its domestic trading and exports halls in the past working week, which posted growths of 4% in volume and 3% in value of trades compared to the figures of the previous week.
The IME said that over 1,546,000 tonnes of metal and mineral products, including 1,153,000 tonnes of cement, 247,502 tonnes of steel, 86,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 40,000 tonnes of iron ore, 10,125 tonnes of aluminum, 7,420 tonnes of copper, 2,000 tonnes of cast iron ingots, 1,145 tonnes of zinc, 140 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 18 tonnes of precious metals concentrate and 1 kg of gold bars with total value of $301 million were traded in the IME domestic and exports halls in the last week.
The report also added that over 523,000 tonnes of various oil and petrochemical products, including 202,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 147,000 tonnes of bitumen, 80,407 tonnes of polymeric products, 59,500 tonnes of lube cut, 29,482 tonnes of chemicals, 3,641 tonnes of base oil, 1,000 tonnes of slops wax, 520 tonnes of sulfur, 150 tonnes of argon and 48 tonnes of insulation with total value of $239 million were traded in the IME halls.
Last but not least was the IME’s side market with 5,395 tonnes of commodities traded on it.
