TEHRAN (Shana) -- The director of exploration at the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Mehdi Fakoor has said that more than 80 to 90% of the country’s oil and gas wells operate with Iranian knowledge and equipment.
He said that research has been the path opener of the country’s oil industry.
Fakoor said that due to research activities, now more than 80 to 90% of the country’s oil and gas wells operate with Iranian knowledge and equipment.”
Referring to the wide role of research and technology in the oil industry, he added: “Only in our country in the field of energy, many openings have been provided by research and now 80 to 90% of the activity and equipment of Iranian wells from downhole pumps to crown wells are all Iranian.”
