FM Urges Expansion of Trade, Tourism Ties With Neighbors

TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian on Monday emphasized the development of tourism and trade ties with the neighboring countries.
Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in the second day of the meeting held in Tehran with participation of ambassadors and envoys of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the neighboring countries.
Iranian Foreign Minister said that Iranian Government’s foreign policy program is to broaden relations with neighbors in the case of trade and tourism.
In the field of economic diplomacy, the Foreign Ministry is fully prepared to assist the Ministry of Interior and the governors in removing obstacles to developing tourism and trade relations, he said.
Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi who also attended the meeting pointed to the importance of relations with neighboring countries, expressing hope that the heads of Iranian missions in neighboring countries and the governors would use all the existing capacities in the region and increase cooperation with neighboring countries.
