Documentary ‘Cocoon’ Named Best at Asia-Pacific
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian
documentary film ‘Cocoon’ has scooped an award at the 2021 Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) in Malaysia.
Directed and produced by Mohammad kart, ‘Cocoon’ has been named the best documentary film of the year at the Asia-Pacific Festival.
Produced by the Documentaries TV of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), ‘Cocoon’ is a social doc about addiction to narcotic drugs.
With a pathological approach, the documentary seeks to change the attitude of the people of the society towards those who are recovering from drug and drug addiction.
Mohammad Cart’s previous record includes a number of successful full length features such as ‘Butterfly Stroke’, and a couple of other documentaries.
According to the event’s official website, the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Association (ABU) is “the world’s largest and widest radio and television organization, with 276 members from 76 countries on four continents and more than 3 billion viewers in different countries.”
