The Basiji Spirit
Salaam friends. Hope you are all well. Be careful, Tehran is becoming colder every passing day, and if you don’t take precautions, you might catch cold.
As our readers are aware, the COVID-19 cases are dropping day-by day as more people are receiving their vaccine doses in Iran. Till now, more than 56 million people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine, and this is while more than 45 million have received their second dose.
We should be very careful and apart from maintaining social distancing and wearing mask in public places, we still need to follow and comply with health protocols.
Last Monday we entered Azar, the last month of autumn, and the 9th month of the Iranian solar hijri calendar. Temperatures further plummeted this week and will continue to down climb towards the freezing point and well below it as we approach winter. The snows have already arrived with the mountains around Tehran clothed in white.
Well friends, as you all know, Friday will be the Basij Day in Islamic Iran. This popular mass mobilization force loyally serves the country in all spheres. Interestingly, this force has inspired other nations to form popular forces, like the Shabiha in Syria, and the Islamic militias in Iraq, which were successful in crushing the cowardly foreign-backed Takfiri terrorists.
It is indeed the Basiji spirit that is coming to the rescue of Muslims, like Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Palestine; the Ansarollah in Yemen, and the legendry anti-terrorist movement, the Hezbollah, in Lebanon.
By the way, last Saturday, November 20 was the Universal Children’s Day as declared by the UN General Assembly. The Convention consists of 54 articles that address the basic human rights to which children everywhere around the world are entitled.
So why the UN does not take steps to prevent the abuse of children around the world, especially in countries where Takfiri terrorists, such as al-Qa’eda, Daesh, and Boko Haraam (to name just a few) are openly violating international laws?
The answer is obvious, in view of the fact that these terrorist outfits have been created by the Great Satan (US), which is notorious for its hypocrisy. It is a matter of regret that crafty Washington which signed the UN Charter on Children’s Rights, which became international law on September 2, 1990, has mischievously refused to ratify it.
Now we know where the roots of terrorism lie, and why the illegal Zionist entity called Israel continues to torture and murder Palestinian children.
Goodbye and God bless you until we meet again next week.
