Zionist Troops Demolish More Palestinian Structures

RAMALLAH (Dispatches) – Zionist troops tore down three Palestinian structures north of East Al-Quds on Tuesday under the pretext of ‘lack of building permits’, according to witnesses.
The structures were used for selling vegetables and car maintenance in Abul Shaheed area, north of the occupied Qalandia checkpoint between Ramallah city and Al-Quds, witnesses said.
The Al-Quds News Network reported the development on its Facebook page in early Tuesday, saying, “Large forces of the occupation army, accompanied by bulldozers” had razed the buildings.
It specified the exact location as the Abu Shahid Roundabout near the Qalandiya checkpoint, north of the occupied Al-Quds.
Zionist municipal authorities often refuse to grant building permits for Palestinians in areas under its control in the West Bank.
According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), 698 demolition cases of Palestinian structures were reported this year, causing the displacement of 949 Palestinians in the West Bank areas under the regime control known as C areas.
The regime also sometimes orders Palestinian owners to demolish their own houses or pay the demolition costs instead.
More than 600,000 Zionists live in over 230 settlements built since the 1967 occupation of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and East Al-Quds.
All the settlements are illegal under international law as they are built on occupied land. The UN Security Council has condemned the regime’s settlement activities in the occupied territories in several resolutions.
