Estonian Festival Premiers Iran’s ‘Hit the Road’

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian feature ‘Hit the Road’ has found way to the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (POFF) in Estonia.
Panah Panahi’s directorial debut will go on screen at the Current Waves section of the Estonian fest’s 25th edition.
‘Hit the Road’ tells the story of a couple and their two sons who take a road journey to a destination that remains mysterious.
Meanwhile, the road trip with all the comedy and drama it entails takes place in the mesmerizing nature of Iran.
The flick has already toured a number of prestigious film events, including the Cannes Film Festival in France and the New Horizons International Film Festival in Poland.
It has also screened at the Zurich Film Festival in Switzerland and the Calgary International Film Festival in Canada.
The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival is one of the biggest film festivals in Northern Europe hosting filmmakers and also journalists from around the world. The festival screens some 250 features and more than 300 short films and animations each year.
The 25th edition of the POFF is slated for November 12-28, 2021.
