November 4 or the 13th of the Iranian month of Aban is a Red Letter Day in the history of the Iranian people. It is the anniversary of three important events in the contemporary history of Iran on which plots against Iran and the Iranian people badly boomeranged on the US.
Whenever the harebrained policy-makers in Washington have tried to bare their fangs on this day they received a teeth-smashing blow.
In 1964, on November 4, on the orders of the US, the British-installed Pahlavi regime exiled the Father of the Islamic Revolution to Turkey on the delusion of turning Iran into a permanent American satellite, little knowing that 15 years later Imam Khomeini (RA) who in the meantime had shifted to holy Najaf in Iraq, would return in triumph to Tehran to end once and for all Uncle Sam’s hegemony.
Interestingly, on this day in 1978, three months before the victory of the Islamic Revolution, students at Tehran University Campus calling for return home from exile of their beloved leader, were brutally attacked by the Shah’s forces on the orders of the US, resulting in the martyrdom of several of them.
The next year, on the 1st anniversary of the massacre of students the curtain finally came down on US meddling in Iran with the capture of the embassy that was no longer a diplomatic mission but a den of espionage for the entire region, by revolutionary students determined to humiliate Washington for its crimes against the Iranian nation.
Today as the nation is holding rallies to celebrate “Students’ Day” and the “Day of Campaign against Global Arrogance”, especially in Tehran in front of the former US den of spies, it is worth recalling the words expressed 42 years ago by Imam Khomeini, who hailed the 13th of Aban (November 4) as “Youmollah” or one of the Special Days of God Almighty.
On this day, the Iranian people by cutting off for good the already bloodied nose of the Great Satan, which has not stopped bleeding ever since, ushered in the Second Revolution – as described that Sage of the Age (Imam Khomeini).
It was indeed a decisively wise move by the Iranian nation whose foresight in seizing the US spy den and kicking out the Americans from the sacred soil of Iran has ensured the independence, power, prestige, and progress of the Islamic Republic, which the Americans have failed to overthrow despite the magnitude of their plots, such as Saddam’s 8-year war, futile sanctions, economic terrorism, and the vain attempts to confront Iranian vessels on the high seas – as happened recently on October 25 – all of which ended in miserable failures.
Even the nuclear agreement, JCPOA, which Iran had accepted to show its good faith to the world and which the US criminally violated, is indeed a blessing in disguise for the Islamic Republic. People in Iran and around the world have become better aware and more conscious of the devilish nature of the US.
This was the reason, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei brushing aside the idea of any negotiations with Washington, called the US politicians “liars, untrustworthy, deceitful and backstabbers.”
He, however, clarified “Our enmity is with the satanic nature of the US regimes and not with the American people, who are also oppressed by the regimes in the White House, so when we say “Death to the US”, we mean the satanic elements that run it, and who have never hidden their inherent animosity towards Iran.”
It is worth noting that if the US was capable of doing anything against Iran it would have long succeeded in overthrowing the popular Islamic system, as it did in Egypt.
All this means that the sanctions on Iran are nothing but desperately self-defeatist attempts by the Great Satan, which has lost all hope of checking the steady progress of the Islamic Republic in various fields, including the peaceful use of nuclear energy, missile defence technology, and growing influence in the region to create stability by thwarting the devilish designs of the US and its clients.
The US ought to know that whatever tricks it has tried against the Muslim people of Iran, have failed miserably.
If only the Iraqi people had shown determination in taking over the US den of espionage in Baghdad in 2019, they could have saved their country from the claws of the Yankees.
Today, thanks to the historic event of 4th November 1979 in Tehran, Uncle Sam’s bloodied nose looks so awful that no amount of cosmetic surgery will ever set it right, whatever the gravity of Washington’s crimes, ranging from Saudi Arabia’s invasion of Yemen to the bulldozing of Palestinian homes by the illegal Zionist entity, and in between the terrorism of its Takfiri brats in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria, etc.
