‘Break’ Crowned For Two Awards at Brazilian Event
TEHRAN (IFILM) --- Iranian short film ‘Break’ has scooped the Best Film and the Best Trailer Awards of the 13th edition of the Brazil Film Festival.
Written and directed by Mohammad-Reza Bordbar, ‘Break’ had been nominated in five categories of the Brazilian festival where it finally succeeded to grab two awards of the event.
“What love is presenting is a betrayal, not intimacy,” reads as a brief synopsis to the short film.
Negin Sedq-Gouya, Sam Nouri, Shahla Rahimi, Azadeh Saeedi, and Amir-Ali Mousavi are among the cast of the film.
‘Break’ was recently accepted to take part in an Indian festival.
Born in 1988 in Tehran, Bordbar made his directorial debut with a short film called ‘Machine’.
In 2009, he started his career with his first dramatic documentary film (docudrama). He has more than 30 short films in his filmmaking career and has recorded more than nine telefilms as a writer. He was a reporter in Iranian cinema magazines.
The Festival du Film Brésilien (Brazil Film Festival) is a platform to screen the best of Brazil’s contemporary cinema as well as to discover and introduce the young talents in filmmaking to the world.
