China’s Persian Language Students Participate at Hafez Poetry Contest
TEHRAN (IBNA) -- On the occasion of the commemoration day of Hafez, the legendary Iranian poet, Chinese students of Persian language at the School of International Studies, Peking University attended a poetry contest, reciting Hafez poems.
In that ceremony, which was held by Iran’s Cultural Attaché to China and the School of International Studies at Peking University, Chinese students of Persian language and literature, commemorated the day of Hafez, public relations department of Sa’di Foundation in Tehran reported.
The instructors of Persian language and literature who also attended the ceremony spoke on the poetry of Hafez and his status in the world. They appreciated the participation of the students as well.
Following the program, the students began to recite some ghazals of Hafez which were judged by the instructors of Persian language and literature in the ceremony.
Two students were named as co-winners, two as the second bests and three as the third. They received some awards honoring their achievements.
