Persian Language First Priority of Culture Ministrya

–Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaeili made the statement during the meeting of the Persian Language Commemoration Coordination Council held on Monday
Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, the director of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature, Secretary of the Council Mahmoud Shalouie and other executives attended the meeting, according to dolat.ir.
Iran’s Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaeili said that the Persian language represents Iran’s pride and identity and requires attention.
Esmaeili added that paying enough attention to Persian language is the priority of the ministry.
He also said that a system will be launched to warn about the violation of not using the Persian language and script.
The minister said the Persian language is of high significance that, if needed, there will be stricter regulations for protecting it, the minister said.
Haddad-Adel said that recently Iran held commemoration ceremonies including programs for great Persian poets such as Hafez and Shahriar, which could be used to increase the value of the Persian language in Iran.
Municipalities throughout the country could install banners using the Persian language, he said, in order to attract people’s attention to the use of the Persian language.
